Weekend Wrap-Up | January 17 & 18

It was a five star weekend!  Every book I read this weekend just hit all the high notes for me.  This is going to be just some quickie GIF-centric thoughts on each of them.  Click on the book images for my reviews/thoughts, but be warned, they’re not all that well written or put together.

I finished the first book of the weekend around 4 in the morning, and that was:

The Well of Ascension (Mistborn, #2)

Pretty much exactly how I read this book from start to finish:

Two books down, 1 to go.  Thought on the series so far:

And then, because my library reserve of the final book of the Mistborn trilogy wasn’t available, I moved onto:

Saga, Volume 1 (Saga #1-6)  Saga, Volume 2 (Saga #7-12)  Saga, Volume 3 (Saga #13-18)

I read these back to back in the mid-morning on the 17th.  Three volumes in, and I just think that this series is:

Finally, I ended the day with:

And then onto Sunday, the 18th…

OK, so I didn’t read, but I did go see a movie based on a memoir, which was:

I thought it was really well done, and I can see why Bradley Cooper got an Oscar Nom for Best Actor.  I’m not sure if he’ll win it, but if he keeps acting like this, I’m anticipating many  awards in his future.
